Junk Creation

Another Question about the 4th Dimension

by Joshua Johnson on December 12th, 2007

Hey! Is this thing still working?

I know I’ve posted about 4th dimensional junk creation before, but last time I talked about how items can trace a 4th dimensional path through time and, I hope, that what was once a tree can become a stick, then a spear, and so on, until it ends up in a museum as some warlord’s toothpick. (This story is/was fictional, unless you can prove otherwise.  If so…please do, I’d love to hear it.)

Today’s post is more about how, when you are doing something you love, time (the 4th dimension, for those who didn’t read the post from last time) seems to fly by incredibly fast.  However, when you are doing something you dislike, or that you wish were over, time moves particularly slowly.  Strangely enough, I think making things out of junk, or otherwise, fits into a third category–the I-can’t-wait-til-the-glue’s-done-drying category.  Waiting on something, especially drying glue, is excruciating, especially if you procrastinated making that gift for your sister.

If you’re like me, the only way to kill the time it’s going to take for your project to dry is to start another project.  Hopefully, you don’t have to start a 3rd project before the 1st one dries…
