Junk Creation

Crude Oil–Way-To-Go for Reusing Loooooong Dead Plants!

by Joshua Johnson on August 1st, 2007

Oil Rig–Looks like some sort of dinosaur…

This deep thought goes really deep–so deep humans have to drill for it!

Yes, I am having a thought about how someone decided to reuse dead plant and animal matter–never-mind that the plants have been dead for millions of years (now that’s old) or that it takes some seriously special circumstances to generate the stuff.

Apparently the walls and roofs of Babylon were made from a crude oil product: asphalt**

The fact is, people wouldn’t have the chance to read my blog without oil and fossil fuel products–because plastic owes its existence to oil.  Funny, but doesn’t that make the Earth a junk creator?  (The only reason I would say no is this nagging feeling I get that the earth has a really hard time tossing anything far enough away from itself to get rid of it…but maybe that just make Earth more adept at finding ways to reuse stuff?)
