Fruit Net Soap Bag

I found another good idea–yes, I’ve been trolling the net again.  This one comes from thriftynaturalist at The Thrifty Naturalist blog.  The post I am talking about is called Thrifty Housekeeping Tip #1, and it talks about making a soap bag to hang from the faucet that will put the soap where you need it and help clean particularly dirty hands.

They say to use the netting bag that fruit (I remember them around oranges) comes in from the grocery store.  Cut the paper end off and tie one end shut.

Once you obtain the fruit bag, start putting “those little scraps of soap that are too small to assume you will make it through a shower” (taken directly from thriftynaturalist’s post; I couldn’t resist–it was so true) into the bag.  Once it gets as full as you like (I have this mental image of a monstrous bag of soap filling an old fashioned sink–anyone else share my disorder?) tie off the other end and hang it on the faucet with, you guessed it, a coat hanger hook (her idea, not mine).  As I mentioned above, she also uses the bag to scrub tough-to-clean hands.
