Junk Creation

Junk Journal

by Joshua Johnson on August 7th, 2007

I was like, OHMYGOODNESS!!!

I have been thinking, lately, of what I said in my Dump Queen post about how much I throw out in a given day:

By the by, has anyone ever actually taken a count of how many/much/etc things they throw out in a day?

So, in the same vein (settle down, all you vampires–it’s a figure of speech) I think that, once I’m all moved and settled, I’m going to start a little journal of what I throw away.  It won’t be comprehensive, it won’t be particularly regular (let’s face it, I can’t record the things that mean most to me in my life, and the number and name of things I throw away will be a bit low on the list–hope that doesn’t burst anyone’s bubble).

If anyone gets to it before me, let’s hear how it goes–otherwise, expect a post from me sometime about it.  (Maybe I’ll post anyway…)

Great idea, but I pass out if I actually made a list of what I could be recycling and didn’t due to laziness or lack of time

    Joshua,
What a totally different idea. When I saw the heading I wasn’t sure what your angle would be. I suspect you’d need to be right into junk, as I’m sure you are, to keep a journal dedicated to it. I’ll be curious to see how it goes. ;-)

I just found your blog, and read this. It is so funny. I think it would be easier if you just had a sepreat bag for the junk and then took a photo at the end of each day of your trash? mmm, yummy journal entry that would become! ;-)

Sorry it took so long to respond…having technical difficulties!

I like the idea of a seperate bag with a picture at the end–I hope I don’t pass out!
