Junk Survivors!
This weekend, be glad you have a choice between being a junk creator and, well, not being one.
The group featured in the above picture are part of a new reality TV series, according to The Daily Mail (a British Paper) in an article entitled: New reality TV show dumps contestants on rubbish tip for share of £20,000 prize (or paste: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=478485&in_page_id=1773)
I normally avoid reality television like marathon watchings of the 5 hour version of Pride and Prejudice, but this one caught my eye. These people have to live in a garbage dump for 21 days equipped (initially) “with a sleeping bag, drinking can and one roll of lavatory paper each”. Whoever can make it through the 21 days shares the prize money. The article says they build “a shelter, a shower, a lavatory made from an old chair, a composter made out of an old chutney barrel and a spa fashioned from rubbish by parttime model Sasha Gardner.”*
All I have to say is, “Sign me up! I could use the money.”
*Sasha Gardner is, according to the Wikipedia article entitled: Dumped, one of the contestants.
