Making Festive Ice Wreaths
Margaret at the fascinating blog Resurrection Fern let me share these beautiful ice wreaths with you.
She’s in Canada, so the weather’s quite nice for an ice wreath right now. But if you live in warmer climes, please keep this project in mind anyway. You may get a cold spell!
To make the ice wreaths, you’ll need pans and bowls, berries and greenery. Go to Margaret’s post for the full how-to.

Aren’t they lovely? I haven’t seen a prettier use for water in a long time. You can make the hanging variety or an ice wreath that just sits around looking sweet.

Have you made an ice wreath?

Well, I know I love this… Now, if only I could remember where I’ve seen it before… Hmmm. Where oh where?

How pretty!
Yes, I have made ice wreaths. This brought back happy childhood memories of Christmas Eve when our tradition was to open the gifts under the tree.
We always had a plate of Christmas cookies and punch in a big bowl chilled by an ice wreath filled with fruit. It was so pretty and fun to wait for the ice to melt so we could fish out the fruit.

Eileen, great Christmas story. Sounds beautiful and fun!
Cyndi, yes! It’s not cold enough where I am to make one yet. I guess I could keep it in the freezer. LOL.
