Thanksgiving–For Gravy?
This week’s Deep Thought is about gravy.
Really, who would have thought that animal fat and flour could taste as good as it does? I blame those darn Junk Creators! Instead of tossing out the fat (I know, they could have given it to their junk cousins the candle makers–lets not get nit-picky about details) they decided to use it. I know that my Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without the gravy I put on top of everything.**
**Okay, so I don’t put gravy on everything. I certainly don’t ruin my pie with gravy. I would never put gravy on top of Jell-o. And there is a reason that I’ve never seen gravy flavored ice cream. But, you get the picture.

Yep, I like gravy on top of my mashed potatoes, turkey, and stuffing. It’s so yummy!

My favorite kind is the peppered gravy that goes over biscuits. Especially when it has extra pepper.
